Yafei Yang

Yafei is a bilingual (Chinese Mandarin-English) registered psychologist dedicated to empowering children and families to navigate challenges, build resilience, and reach their full potential. She completed her Honours in Psychological Science and Master of Educational Psychology at the University of Melbourne.

With experience in private practice, schools, and Student Support Services (SSS), Yafei specialises in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including those for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and learning difficulties. She also provides therapy for children, parenting support, and group sessions focused on social and emotional skill development.

Yafei believes children’s challenging behaviour is a form of communication, where the child is trying to tell us what they need.

Outside of work, Yafei enjoys hiking, visiting art galleries, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her cat.
