Will Sutherland is a Psychologist at Future Minds Psychology, supporting children, adolescents and young adults across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Will has experience across school settings, private practice, and psychiatric hospital services. He supports young people and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, phobias, autism, ADHD, school refusal, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and broader life challenges.
In his work with children and families, Will provides support for emotional regulation difficulties, developmental concerns, separation anxiety and challenges related to school engagement and peer relationships. He works collaboratively with parents to develop practical and consistent strategies that support children across home and school environments.
Will draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), particularly in his work with anxiety and OCD.
Will takes a warm, structured and developmentally informed approach, aiming to help clients better understand their experiences, strengthen coping strategies, and feel more confident managing challenges over time.
Outside of the clinic, Will enjoys drawing, woodworking, and introducing himself to every dog he sees.
