Sepand Heydari

About

Sep Heydari is a Clinical Psychologist at Future Minds Psychology, supporting children, adolescents and young adults across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Sep works with young people and families experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, and relationship difficulties. He provides both individual and family-based therapy, with a focus on understanding each young person’s experiences and supporting meaningful, lasting change.

He has particular experience in working with trauma, including attachment and relational trauma, and post-traumatic stress. Sep is passionate about early intervention and supporting young people during critical developmental periods, where timely support can make a meaningful difference to long-term outcomes.

Sep provides a safe, collaborative and trauma-informed therapeutic space, working closely with both young people and their families. His approach is thoughtful, client-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs.

Sep is one of our male psychologists and works with a range of young people, including boys and young men who may benefit from working with a male clinician.

Sep also speaks Persian (Farsi) and can provide therapy and communicate with parents in their preferred language, helping families feel more understood and supported throughout the process.

In addition to his work at Future Minds Psychology, Sep works in a specialist trauma service within public mental health, where he provides trauma-informed intervention for children and families.
