Emma Tse

About

Emma Tse is a Registered Psychologist with an endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology at Future Minds Psychology, supporting children, adolescents and families across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Emma has experience working with children and adolescents across private practice, community, school and early childhood settings. She completed her professional training at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and has worked across both New Zealand and Australia. Emma has particular experience supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, including those with autism and ADHD, as well as young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, learning challenges and social or peer difficulties. She is also experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including autism, ADHD, cognitive and learning assessments.

Emma works collaboratively with parents, teachers and other professionals to develop a shared understanding of a young person’s strengths, needs and experiences across different environments. Her experience working within schools and early childhood settings also informs her understanding of how developmental, emotional and learning needs can affect a child’s participation and wellbeing in everyday settings. Her approach is warm, thoughtful and strengths based. Emma is guided by the understanding that behaviour is a form of communication and aims to look beyond the behaviour itself to understand what a child or young person may be communicating about their needs, emotions or environment. She is passionate about helping young people better understand themselves, recognise their strengths, build confidence and develop practical skills that support their everyday lives.

Emma values creating a space where children, adolescents and families feel safe, heard and understood, and tailors her approach to the individual needs and developmental level of each young person.

Emma will be joining the Future Minds team in early January 2027.

Assessment appointments with Emma can be booked now in advance of her commencing in the new year.
